Today Ukraine is facing many challenges. Among them are challenges in the social field that require modern approaches to solve real problems.
Social Franchise from MINDY is one example of tools that are already working and fully ready for scaling.
In terms of definition, a social franchise is the scaling up of existing practices to solve painful social problems. These include, among others, psychological assistance, physical rehabilitation, career guidance and employment of female and male veterans in small towns of Ukraine. In addition to this, of course, help is needed for their families and civilians affected by the war.
Our social franchise helps to build and launch a module in just 1-2 months, train a team, and bring the work to the network standards in another 1-2 months. Thus, the community can quickly deploy its own infrastructure, which is part of a whole network working to help veterans and civilians in small towns of Ukraine.
This is done on the basis of the Mobile Rehabilitation Module. A small house of 70 square meters, built on the basis of modular technology and brought to the district center or amalgamated territorial community. If necessary, it can be transported to another city in the region where there is an immediate need for such services and assistance.
But the module itself does not work without a social franchise! The paradox of our reality…
Since, if tomorrow, miraculously, you have a module and people, they won’t even be able to help. There is a lot of “paperwork,” permits, standards, regulations – a whole mountain of problems grows along with the module. They are not visible, but as soon as you enter the practical field, these problems immediately appear in whole layers.
All these problems and nuances are taken into account in the social franchise, and it’s a turnkey solution. Everything that is needed is brought up to standard, and all the necessary permits are in place. Interactions between local authorities, the community, and the project donor are all spelled out. Everyone understands their responsibilities for the module to work and for veterans to receive proper assistance.
And after the module is opened, we do not leave the local team. On the contrary, we work side by side in the network until we bring them to all franchise standards in terms of service quality and other important parameters.
We are all happy when modules like the one in Ovruch, Zhytomyr region, become a place of not only help, but also support and hope.
It is such working social innovations as social franchises that we are charged with helping. We already have the capacity for 40 social franchises a year.
Anyone can be a donor – business, community, other foundations or the state. This is because a social franchise is a universal tool for accomplishing clear tasks. Helping veterans.
